DRG 2015 - Thank you for your support

Well it’s time to put the tweed, monocles and bow ties away until next year.
I hope you all had a great day riding in Toowoomba’s inaugural DGR on Sunday. We had a terrific mix of motorbikes and fantastic costumed riders and support crew. Riding to focus on men’s health and the theatre of the event helped gain an enormous amount of great publicity for the Toowoomba ride in the press and TV, and this will help both the motorcycling community in general and the notoriety of the event to make it bigger next year.
I would like to congratulate you all on your awesome effort in raising $10,590 for prostate cancer research, a figure well beyond our expectation for Toowoomba’s first event. A big thank you to all the club members who helped with the organisation and for participating on the day.
The general feedback on the event was positive overall, however, if anyone would like to suggest any enhancements, ride route changes, offer some constructive criticism, help in organising the ride for next year, or would be interested in sponsoring or finding sponsors to expand the awareness of the event … please feel free to contact me with your thoughts.
The Downs Motorcycle Sporting Club is always open to new members, so if you’re looking for a club to join, our meetings are held on the first and third Monday’s of the month starting at 7.30pm at the clubhouse at the showgrounds.
Remember to lock in the date and start encouraging your mates to get ready for the next DGR in Toowoomba … the last Sunday in September 2016.
Remember to ‘Ride Dapper’ all year.
